Sustainable mountain huts in Europe: the way to zero environmental footprint

Can catering and tourism establishments in the Alps increase their competitiveness and at the same time protect the climate? Yes, you can! Well-planned energy-saving measures and well-functioning energy management can become climate-friendly plants, reduce operating costs and even increase the comfort of guests. At the event “Energy management in Alpine hotels” we had the opportunity to carry out everything about energy saving measures and the introduction of an energy management system.

At the forefront of the event was the exchange of experiences from small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition to expert contributions from energy advisers, entrepreneurs and experts from the areas of energy, climate protection and sustainable tourism presented interesting initiatives and practical examples.

The SustainHuts project was presented with a lecture by Dr. Mitja Mori: Sustainable mountain huts in Europe: the way to zero environmental footprint. The lecture has come up with a very good response, based on which cooperation with Italian and German organizations is expected.
